Overmedicated

  When I switched back to Abilify from Invega, I took half a dose for 4 days then went to a full dose which is 20 mg. At the half dose, I felt pretty good after a day or so being on it. When I went to the full dosage, I turned into a zombie. My wife told me that my eyes were even gazed over. I was like that for three years and nobody noticed, and they wouldn't believe me when I tried to tell them.My wife is an RN and she suggested that I cut my dosage in half and mall my pdoc asap. I did just that and I feel like myself again. I'm not manic, I'm not depressed and I have my personality back.Its been a great week and a half. I called my pdoc twice but she hasn't returned my call. Cant say I didn't try.

Wow Ray! I think you did the right thing by cutting back to the original dose. I'm on 20mg of Abilify and it doesn't bother me one bit. It is amazing how meds react differently to each of us. Keep us posted on what happens (If your Pdoc ever gets back to you).

Hi,
I was on Abilify about a month ago. I tried my best to hang in there with it. It really revved me up. I had to take Ativan with it. I was on 5 mgs for awhile, and then went up to 30 mgs. I was over medicated, too. I finally went back to Lithium.
