My therapist is going to start me on EMDR therapy.  Is anyone familiar with it?

 My Doc mentioned EMDR to me for PTSD treatment. I googled it, and it works using eye movements, sort of like hypnosis. It is supposed to be helpful for war veterans. Hypnosis isn't something that works on me, and it is kind of similar, so I don't think that it would work with me. I mentioned that to my Doc, and she told me to think about it and watch a demonstration on you tube. Haven't got around to that yet.
