Hi, I'm MissTake, a 21 year old Aussie chick with Bipolar II. I was diagonsed last year, after being diagnosed with depression and social anxiety disorder when I was 15. I don't really have anyone in my life who I can talk to about this (my Dad avoids the conversation because he works with the disabled and seriously mental ill and doesn't want to associate me with the dangerously ill people he sees every day, my Mum gets angry or upset, blaming herself, my brother lives 12 hours away and everyone else doesn't know, think it's being 'emo' or has started avoiding me since I told them), so I decided to look for support online - which is how I found this place!
I don't really know what else to write here, but feel welcome to ask any questions!

Welcome to the site I hope you enjoy it. I am BP 1 and PTSD. I also have problems with people understanding my illness. I have gotten to a point where I dont talk to any of my friends anymore and my family tries but they just dont get it.

Hey MissTake! Welcome! I'm one of the originals, knew Paz on nami before her husband started this for her--she likes four-letter words and was always getting kicked off. Very few of us have anybody to reall!y talk to--try being a Phd! You know so much about such a tiny field that you cant talk about it to anybody at all without giving them a four-year college education first! i am 63,a most holy yogi, and dabble in being a dirty old man.good luck to you, Miss Australia 2010! your famiily doesnt sound any worse that mine was!
