Hi there,

I am wondering if any of you have with increased symptoms at that time of the month. I mean I know PMS happens but this isn't being a little irritable and having some cramps. It is the same exact thing that happens if I don't take my meds. I start out feeling super sad, start replaying everything in my head cause I'm sure I did something wrong (at work). Then I start to feel totally worthless. Then I start getting super anxious to the point that my short term memory fails. I work in a place where forgetting things and missing time limits is essential. I don't really think thats all PMS. Do any of you feel like your meds are useless once a month?

I'm not on daily meds anymore...but when I was there was no difference. As far as PMS goes, I have never really suffered from that. Seriously. The only thing that happens to me when my monthly visitor arrives us that I get cramps...but honestly I have never had irritability[PMS] I know it's a real thing, as I know a couple of gals who get it badly, but thankfully that is one problem that I didn't get stuck with.

Me not really I have PMS at any time of the month if I'm "high" Tongue, but I have heard of it influencing some women's mood cycles, causing rapid cycling or they think it does.

I have to take pain medication for my cramps because they are excruciating.  I think the pain medication messes with my mood... take tramadol and the way it effects me depends on what state I am in when I take it.  If I'm depressed it makes me irritable and crash afterwards, if I'm manic it makes me bat shit crazy hyper and hallucinate weird shit in the dark (happens anyway though), if I'm nuetral it makes me hyped (sometimes I swear it has switched me to manic) but on lithium and being in nuetral it has little effect...actually it kinda makes me tired.

Tramadol is a strange med...I have taken that a few times for my pain and I don't care for it...it didn't mess with my mood, but I found it to be ineffective for pain relief. Can you take opiods? Or do you have an allergy? Tylenol-3 are great for cramps...I used to take that for my cramps, but it has codeine, so if you are allergic, then that probably wouldn't work or you. How about some funky green shit? That helps my cramps, and I read somewhere that one of the Queens used Marijuana for cramps. Ganga

MJ doesn't usually help with mine, I think they're too severe or maybe I didn't have the right medicinal strain (cuz sojmetimes it did).   Ganga  I can take opiates, MS contin (morphine) works great without making me hyped or any annoying side effects.  The problems is the doctors don't like to prescribe it, I wonder if I just was completely open and explained everything to my GP if she would write me a script?  I can't take acetamenophen, so that rules out vicoden, codiene and percs...Oh and codeine...I extracted the codeine from the acetomenophen but it has a very weak effect on me and caused major bowel issues...my friend took an equal dose from the same extract and got high like always.  Methadone works very well too but makes me manic as hell LOL.

Yes I have noticed my symptoms are worse then.  I get more depressed and become paranoid.
