My first known manic episode was when I was 13.  Of course at the time we didn't know what it was but looking back we do.  My most memorable symptom was not being able to sleep I was up for at least three days.  Just wondering when others first episode was, not just symptoms.

I'd have to say when I was 15. That is when I started cutting, talking to walls, flippin out, not being able to sleep, etc. But then I was diagnosed with severe clinical depression. But like you said, we didn't know it was BP then. I didn't realize all my high moments were episodes.

I think I was born with it, so I didn't vote.  I definately had it very young, as young as I can remember like when I was still in diapers.  I remember when my baby brother came home I was like 1-1/2 and hated him instantly.  I was in a total rage and pushed him into the floor (he was in a little "box" on the coffee table).  I remember my parents freaking out about it like they couldn't believe it.  My mom says when I was a baby I would laugh hysterically at everything and wouldn't go to sleep like a normal baby...other times I would cry and cry and they couldn't console me.
