I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm new here. What to tell you about me? I'm a typical bipolar I guess. I'm creative. I've written several books though have not gotten published. Publishers aren't interested unless you have an agent and agentes aren't interested if you haven't been published. I'm also a musician. I play bass and sing in a band. I also draw. But I have a lot of free time. I'm a type one with chronic depression and so I don't work. Anyway it's always nice to meet new people who can relate to me. My family tries but they don't understand me. I guess if I had to be truthful, they don't try that hard. Anyway I'm looking forward to making new friends. So give me a shout.

Dear grey ghost: I'm a writer and musician, too. Have you considered self-publishing? At least you'll get yourself out there. 'course, I'm not a rocker--I play classic American music and dixieland, and sometimes write quirky little lyrics in this genre. You couldnt possibly be old enough to remember the Grey Ghost TV series with Col. Moseley of the CSA, could you?

i have self published once. the publishing industry doesn't take it seriously. and no i don't remember a grey ghost tv show. but i'm 37. i just didn't watch a lot of tv as a kid. grey ghost is a character from one of my manuscripts.

hi im joe welcome to crazy town ............... its awesome u write and play in a band and stuff man i aspire to be an artist myself i paint draw play guitar[poorly] im actually going to finally show some art i have done ..........i have been workin on some things for over 3 years so im very excited ....anyways nice to see that some of us are crazy and still make an effort to be creative hope u can find someone to publish, us bipolars make the coolest shit

Hi.. I'm Eli and I live in Bakersfield, CA. I'm on here cause I've been having somewhat of a difficult time because I've decided that I want off the meds that i've taken for years. I really want to try a different approach maybe just some intense psycological sessions, I don't know. I just feel so off, I'm an emmotional wreck however I know this is probably the withdrawals from the meds. Anyway I guess i forgot to mention I was diagnosed with bp2 I have major anxiety too. I want off the meds because when we up the dose I feel good for a little then it starts coming back down. I don't wanna keep doing that, honestly I just dont' want meds anymore!!!.

Hi Eli! We can all relate to not wanting to take the meds anymore. I personally am in the process of weaning myself off my meds. The reason is because my liver is in really bad shape because of the meds I am on, mainly the Seroquel. I have NOT consulted my pdoc about this though. And my GP did not suggest I do this, I am doing it on my own, because I would rather keep my liver than be sane. LOL We are a good source of support here. Post often! We'd love to hear more from you! |

Yeah... my doc doesn't know either. I missed my last appointment and never rescheduled because I made up my mind. I think I'm doing ok, past few days I've been really nauseus and anxious. I was a social smoker, maybe once a month, now I'm smoking 3x day. eeek . I guess I didn't mention I'm going through a breakup yeah at the same time.
