I know this is a tough question and I know many may not feel comfortable answering, but I'm wondering if BP sufferers who get psychosis share similar experiences. So with that an additional question, if you said yes what sort of things do you get?

Those with bipolar I disorder may experience psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations, bipolar II by definition cannot have psychotic features. The key difference between bipolar 1 and bipolar 2 is that bipolar 2 has hypomanic but not manic episodes, meaning the symptoms of mania are generally less severe in type 2. Experts state that all consumers experience BPD differently. In answering your question first you take BP type 2 out of the equation...no psychotic episodes. (this is by definition...there is a remote chance, 2's may experience psychosis. The definition of psychosis is the same...but the experiences are individualized. There may be some common ground...but to put it bluntly who the hell knows for sure. With new research the definitions & findings about brain disorders are constantly changing. Mental Health are leaning towards... that BP type 1's with dellsions, border on schizophrenia. JB Bob

I used to see things...like a rolling, moving clouds in the corners of rooms. I also used to see a shadowy figure outside in broad daylight...it used to scare the shit out of me. And I used to hear creepy whispering. I have not seen or heard anything for like 2 years now, and I hope I never experience those things ever again.

Yes at times, usually during a deep depression or mixed episode, I suffer from paranoia, delusions and auditory hallucinations.

Why would they say you're bipolar 2 if you get manic like that? Unless you were on an antidepressant and got manic, then I could see.
