I find it strange that my doctor has only prescribed lamictal for me...My depression and mania are both really severe. mania tends to be brought on by antidepressents. I take seroquel at night. But I think maybe I should ask for something else or really be strict about sleep. I gained weight and I am vain on that level. It bothers me thoroughly. If I do not feel good about myself, physically included, then I tend to isolate myself very much. Right now is that time. I have to cut myself some slack because i have been depressed for two fucking months. Slept much of the time. Overflowed with pain. So...i have been on lamictal for two weeks. I have read around and nowhere have I seen just one med for a person. Hmm. Not that I wouldn't be so happy if one drug helped my symptoms completely. But, what about everyone else? Did you start gradually?

I can't even remember how many drugs they put me on the first time. I think it was only 3. Now I am on 6.
I wish there were only one pill for us to take, if it were only that easy, but... not everything works the same on everyone. That is why so many people are on different pills and dosages. If you are having difficulty speeling, don't be afraid to ask for a sleeping med. Most of us are all on something to sleep. My Pdoc said it is hard to get BP's to get sleep. I'm not sure why though.
